When I tried to hold Luke and Marshall, M said no baby and pushed him away. That broke my heart. I was an emotional wreck when I saw him because I missed him so much. We sent Marshall to the in-laws on Tuesday through Friday. I missed him tremendously but it helped Rob and I get acquainted with Luke. Rob and I took Luke to his first doctors appointment, went out to lunch and went to Buy Buy baby when he was three days old. We would have never done that much with Marshall but it helps that it's not cold/ flu season.
When Luke was six days old all four of us went on our first outing and took Marshall to his Gymboree play class.
Luke just sat in his infant seat and enjoyed the sounds of toddlers running around! We started Gymboree mid July and it's been wonderful for Marshall! It was a place I could take him while hugely pregnant and let him burn off some energy and now it will be a great place to take him and a newborn. I'm scared to go anywhere with both boys on my own but I don't have to do that for awhile because my mom will be here for a week when Rob goes back to work.
Luke is such a great baby! He is nursing like a champ and eating about every 2 hours.
He clusters at night but doesn't have that fussy time that Marshall had.
I surprisingly feel so much less tired this time around. Probably because I am used to getting interrupted sleep.
The doctor wanted to see Luke again to make sure he is gaining weight. We went for an appointment on my due date (8/11) and he was 8 lbs 8 oz! I'm not used to this much weight gain at all!
Marshall weighed 9 lbs at one month. I think Luke will surpass that in no time.
Marshall has had his moments of adjusting to a new baby in the house. He has a hard time after nap time when him and I usually sit together and snuggle. He wakes up cranky and if I'm feeding Luke it's hard on him.
His stuffed animals have helped! He loves kitty Kat, Mickey, and doggie!
And the iPad!
He loves to dance!
Overall life with two is great. When Rob goes back to work I might be crying though!

I love your blog!! Marshall is the cutest thing ever!! Let's catch up soon.
