Brown-eyed Bride turned Wife and Mom!: Luke is one month old!

Luke is one month old! I'm excited to write monthly updates again since I don't get to for Marshall anymore. :(

I love having a sweet new baby to cuddle!

1 week old...

Marshall likes to jump in Luke's crib since its higher than his.

But side by side I don't think they look alike at all. I was expecting Luke to come out as Marshall's twin but nope I think they look a lot different.

Marshall has had a hard time adjusting to becoming a big brother but it's only been 4 weeks and he's getting better every day.

2 a bath. Marshall was in his clothes ha ha! He was being my "helper."

He likes to push Luke in the swing...sometimes a little too high!

Rob was off work for two weeks and my mom was here for the next two weeks which was a huge help! This was the first week I was alone with my boys. I got a double stroller and we went to the park and the grocery store several times!

Luke really really likes to be worn in the wrap and does not like to be put down at all. So when Marshall wants to be held this is what I do...I hold both of them ha ha!

I forgot about this part of the newborn stage. I think moms block it out for a reason. During the day he eats about every 1-2 hours. I recently found that if I wear him in a wrap or carrier he will sleep longer so that's what I've been doing to get anything done. And when I mean anything it's simple things like making the bed or eating a meal! Haha! We've been napping together when M naps and he will sleep longer next to me in bed. He has a fussy time at night from about 6-9:00. He cluster feeds that entire time. Thank goodness I have Rob to take care of bath and bedtime with Marshall. I have been giving Luke a bath about every other night. He really likes it and it seems to calm him down. He sleeps in a bassinet at the foot of our bed at night. He's been waking up to eat every 1.5-2 hours at night. I get a longer stretch of sleep during the day unfortunately. But hopefully he starts sleeping longer soon!

Temperment- The first two weeks he was a very easy baby. But the last couple weeks he cries non stop if I'm not holding him, feeding him, or wearing him. I realized that he may have silent reflux. When I took him for his one month appointment the doctor prescribed Zantac. Hopefully it helps! He loves baths, car rides, and stroller rides so that's a plus! He started to coo a little this week too. He's not into the swing unless he's already fast asleep. If Luke starts crying hysterically then Marshall will too! Ahhh two under two is tough at times but I wouldn't change it for the world! Soon they will be playing together...hopefully!
