15 months!

Marshall is 15 months and busy busy busy! This is a fun age but lots of work! I'm so glad January and February are over because it was full of sickness and we are ready for Spring already...and March Madness!! Go CATS!!!

Stats
Weight-  21 lbs. 12 oz
Height- 31 inches
Clothes size- 12- 18 months or 2T
Diaper size- 4
Teeth- 10- he cut two molars
Words: He says mama, dada, bye-bye, hi, uh-oh, ball, no, go, nana for banana, boo for his favorite show "Peek a Boo", this (when he holds out something or points to something he says this?), baby (he loves pictures of babies and hopefully he likes the real thing since one is coming soon!) mimi (for his pacis and anything else he wants) and lots of made up words and babbling and pointing when he wants something. And I don't know if this counts as a word but he loves nursery rhymes, especially old McDonald, so he says EIEIO when he wants to dance or when he sees farm animals.
Sleep: He will take two 1.5 hour naps or 1 long 2.5 hour nap at home. At daycare he might take 2 40 minute naps so he is exhausted on school days. At night he still goes down at 7:00 and wakes up between 5 and 6:30. So early some mornings! Rob usually gets him up then gets me up around 6:15. I really miss sleeping in! I know this is just a phase.
Eating: He still drinks 3 bottles a day with 6-7 oz of organic cows milk. I don't know how to get rid of the bottle. We've offered him milk in a sippy and he will drink it but but not very much. As far as food, he can be a picky eater at times so that's why I am keeping the bottle as long as need be. At least he's getting calories from milk. He is picky mostly when he's tired or not feeling well. He would eat cheese at every meal if I let him and I have a couple times. His other favorite foods are black olives, Mac and cheese, applesauce, strawberries, pears,  hot dogs, spaghetti, pizza, grilled cheese. He likes those fruit and veggie pouches too. Some days thats the only way he gets his fruit/veggie serving. I also mix broccoli in his grilled cheese and Mac n cheese.

First time eating spaghetti!

He also likes a little container on his high chair to take food out himself. Mr. Independent!

Favorite things:
Toys- Bubbles, balls, cars, trains, and trucks (basically anything that moves).
Bubbles at daycare!

Books- He still loves books! Some of his favorites are Dear Zoo, I Love You Through and Through, Sandra Boynton books (especially But Not the Hippopotamus), and any pop-up books!

TV- He loves TV and this is something I'm not proud of but as much as he's been sick and/or we've been stuck in the house this winter, it's going to happen. We try to limit it though. He loves the channel called Baby First TV. He likes the nonfiction shows that show real people and his favorite show is called Peek a Boo. This channel teaches babies sign language, colors, shapes, numbers, etc.  It also plays nursery rhymes which are his favorite! If he sees the remote he will carry it over to the TV and press buttons which turns the TV on so we hide it from him. If he doesn't like a show that is on he will point to the remote to let me know I need to change the channel. I've created monster!
Music- He will dance as soon as he hears a song. He's obsessed with nursery rhymes. I made the mistake of showing him the songs on my iPad so if he sees my iPad, watch out! He will throw a screaming fit if we don't let him watch the shows on it. So we also hide the IPad unless I'm really desperate. I didn't realize this would start so soon!
Pacifiers- His only attachment besides mom and dad of course, are his pacis. I'm scared about getting rid of these. I still put three in his crib with him at nap time and bed time.
Pictures- He likes to looks at pictures around the house and carry the picture frames around. He can recognize Rob and I as mama and dada. We have pictures along our wall going up our staircase. He loves to look at those and find dada and baby.

Climbing- He likes to climb all over the couch and chairs. He will run back and forth on the couch or just sit and watch TV.
Climbing on a box with a spoon! I find spoons and pacis hidden all over the house!

Laying on the couch but he doesn't sit still for long.

New things- besides his expanding vicabulary, over the last couple of months he's been pointing at everything especially if he wants something. He waves "bye bye" when he sees Rob putting his coat on and says hi when we come get him from his crib. He also waves and says "bye bye" when he hears/sees a TV show is ending.  If he doesn't want something he will shake his head and say no. If Rob is holding him and I try to take him he shakes his head no. He loves his daddy!

Here's what we've been up to lately...
January was full of sickness so he rested a lot.

We did get to go to library story time on a snow day!
And he "helped" me clean hehe

He got another hair cut and cried the entire time! Poor baby!
Lots of playing inside- he loves boxes!

We went to a play cafe on another snow day...
He liked the shopping cart a lot!
And pressing buttons!

We went to a Graeters ice cream that has an awesome indoor play area!
He just wanted to hold the ball and watch the other kids. In public he's subdued and likes to just observe what's going on.
Of course we had to try ice cream for the first time!
He loved the little spoon!

Playing with snow at daycare!

Outside at daycare when the snow finally melted!!

And it was finally warm enough to walk outside! This is by far his favorite thing to do! He loves to walk up and down the street. When I say its time to go inside and pick him up he screams and throws a huge tantrum.

So that sums up my little 15 month old monkey! I am counting down the days until Summer! 9 more weeks and 50 more school days!!!!!! Woo Hoo!
