Christmas was wonderful this year! Since I had two weeks off I was really looking forward to visiting family and friends in Kentucky the first weekend and then spending time with my family and getting some things done around the house the rest of the time. Well those plans got altered real quick when Marshall got sick AGAIN the Thursday before break! This poor child! I cancelled my plans to Kentucky which I was so bummed about. Marshall had Hand Foot Mouth disease which causes sores to form on and in his mouth, on his hands, and other parts of his body. Some are still there almost two weeks later. He started feeling better just in time for Christmas though.
We get a real tree every year. Last year I used fancy decorations. This year it had lights only up until a few days before Christmas and then Rob decided to put some ornaments on it. Marshall didn't really care about the tree. I've heard other moms say they couldn't put a tree up because their baby would tear it down. Not my baby. He touched it a couple times but it was so prickly he just walked away.
His little footprint ornament made at school.
My Mom came up on Christmas Eve and stayed a couple days. She had a blast playing with Marshall. It was great to having her around because this little boy is non stop all day long!
Posing in front of the tree.
Rob installed a cat door to the basement and Marshall has been obssessed with throwing things in it ever since.
And he loooooves this balloon!
On Christmas Eve we decided to open our stockings. I put Yogurt Melts in Marshall's stocking.
Christmas morning eating blueberries and Cheerios!
Christmas Day!
He loves these animals that sing and dance!
Grammy K got him a little sports station with a tiny slide!
Helping Dad put it together.
Trying it out!
Finally played with presents after much coaxing!
My Dad, brother, and his wife Kelly came up on Christmas Day.
Presents!
More sliding!
What a wonderful Christmas! We are beyond blessed!
Marshall enjoyed his first real Christmas!
Last year he was only 13 days old!
