Halloween 2014!

Marshall's first Halloween! He didn't know the difference between Halloween and any other day but it was fun for us!

The weekend before Halloween it was 70 degrees so we thought it would be fun to take him to Boo at the Zoo. Kids dress in costumes and trick or treat around the zoo. Apparently everyone else in Columbus had the same idea that day. It was beyond crowded! I bought him a Superman costume just because I thought he wouldn't want any hats on his head. But now I wish I would have been more creative and made a homemade costume. Maybe next year! It was really hot to be outside wearing it at the zoo.
They decorated the trees with pumpkins!

What a beautiful day to take pictures!
Flamingos!

Bats! They had real pumpkins to eat.

Elephants!

Headless Horseman!

Heart of Africa was super crowded so we didn't get close to the animals. But we saw the zebras!

After Africa, Marsh was all done with the zoo. This is the only picture taken of him and I. He is screaming to get down or go to Dad...

Happy with Dad!

He could care less that we were at the zoo. He enjoyed eating puffs and cheerios the entire time...

Trick or Treat night was the day before Halloween. We put him in his outfit again and passed out candy to trick or treaters.

House decorated...

Since he would prefer to crawl we brought his push toy out so he could move around.

Me being a first time Mom I was afraid he was going to fall flat on his face on the concrete so I chased him around.

He would stop and rest for a minute then get up and keep going!

Our neighbor has a 7 month old and he was Superman too, so of course we had to get a picture of them!
It was fun and he lasted about 30 minutes which was perfect because we ran out of candy at about the same time!

The next day, on Halloween, I thought I would try and be creative at the last minute and make a Luigi outfit using overalls, a green shirt, and a green hat. The hat lasted on his head about 1 second. Just long enough for me to get a picture. I tried cutting paper circles to make big buttons and an "L" to tape on his outfit but he kept pulling them off and eating them. Hehe!

Speaking of scary Halloween...I don't look so scary anymore because I got my hair chopped off and went back to blonde! I will always be a blonde! It just takes so much time to maintain and with a newborn baby that was a little difficult. I was at the salon for 4 hours and 15 minutes. I am not exaggerating!
But I love it!
Happy Halloween!
