Summa Time!

I've been home on summer break for exactly 1 month now! Here are some highlights...

Swimming with the Thiels! My dear friend Molly has invited us to her pool several times and it's so much fun! She has two adorable babies, Addy (2.5), and Jacob (1).

The first time he was knocked out before we could even make it back to the car.

The 2nd time we brought a float and he loved it.

Play date with Ruth and Seth! A coworker of mine, Ruth, has a son who is almost exactly 1 month younger than M.

Play cafe with Lucy and Jamie!

First Haircut
I was really debating on whether to get his hair cut or not. I wondered if he was too young or if I should just let it grow but now that it's cut I'm glad we did it. It was getting in his eyes and looking a little scraggly. I took him to a cookie cutters and he did pretty good. He cried at the end but it was also time to eat. I know I didn't plan that very well but we had just met Jamie and Lucy for a play date so we were already out and about.

Right after his cut!

Grandma and Grandpa watched M while we went to Courtney and Travis' wedding...

We've been to the zoo twice this summer! Since M has shown interest in our cat lately we thought he might like the animals. The first time we took him was Father's Day weekend. He was teething, it was blazing hot, and he wasn't really into it. The second time the weather was beautiful and he seemed to enjoy it more.
In the middle picture Rob is holding him while we watch the monkeys play. They were running around like crazy so it caught his attention. You can get really close to the kangaroos but they don't even really move or notice you.

We celebrated the Fourth of July by going to the zoo and relaxing the rest of the weekend! It was such gorgeous weather! Fireworks were totally different this year with a baby. Since he goes to sleep at 7:00 we didn't even attempt to go anywhere to watch them, but maybe we should have beacuse they kept him up until 10:30 that night. :(
What a great summer it's been so far!
