Here are some bump pics
Me at Disney
No makeup but its the bump we are looking at right?
I can't believe I'm posting these pictures on the Internet since I don't have a shirt on but I'm doing it to document my belly. The first pic is before I ate right when I woke up and the 2nd pic is later in the day.
I can NOT believe I thought I was fat before I got pregnant. I remember when I took the 6 week picture I thought I looked so huge! Dont think that anymore!
Eating- soup, soup, and more soup! French onion, tortilla, clam chowder, and wedding soup to name a few! Honey nut Cheerios, grilled cheese, salads with Ranch, roasted veggies
Feeling- mostly euphoric, nauseous every now and then, lots of energy, sleeping well, irritable sporadically, still working out about 3 times per week for an hour each time
Happening- On July 16 I think I felt the baby for the first time. It was at night after I ate dinner and sat down on the couch. I felt a little flutter below my belly button. I thought it was my stomach but every night after this I felt the same flutters when I laid down after dinner so I figured it was definitely the baby. On July 19th I felt movement a lot more frequently and in the morning. It is so surreal and crazy! It doesn't feel like what you think something growing inside of you would feel. I still can't believe I have a living thing growing inside of me. I'm also peeing so much more frequently! I don't know if its all the water I'm drinking or the fact that the baby is half a pound now!
Baby's size- Banana, 6.5 inches, 10 oz.
What Baby has been up to: hearing, swallowing, making faces, smiling, flipping, twisting, rolling, developing teeth buds, growing hair, eyebrows, eyelashes, and has fingerprints. Baby has been doing a lot in the last 4 weeks. Phew!
So when I was 14 weeks we went to an ultra sound place to find out the gender early. I told my friends and family but didn't announce it on Facebook or my blog until this week. It was kind of fun keeping it a secret. I had a strong feeling it was a girl. I had all girl names picked out and girl nurseries pinned on Pinterest. But I was totally wrong!
IT'S A BOY!!!!! AHHHHHHH! I have since gotten over the initial shock but at the time I was so surprised.
At first I felt weird finding out early, like I was cheating on my dr or something. But now I am so glad we did because I don't have the anatomy ultrasound scheduled until I'm 21 weeks. It was so neat seeing pictures of him. He looked like a real baby instead of a blob. During the ultrasound he was flipping and moving around like crazy. We haven't decided on a name yet. It makes it really hard when you have a last name like Stan. 1 syllable first names don't sound right with Stan. It's also hard being a teacher because I associate certain names with certain students. But we are going to keep the name a secret until he is born. There are no more secrets to keep so why not?
One more exciting thing happened this week. I found a crib! I stopped at the Pottery Barn Kids Outlet and they had 3 cribs. The crib is the Larkin crib if you look on Pottery Barn's website. It sells for $799 plus tax and $100 for shipping so we are talking about $950. Well at the outlet they were on sale for $385 with tax! What?!!! I called Rob and he said buy it! The box was too big to fit in my car and they don't deliver so I was a little worried. But Rob has a trailer hitch on his SUV and he had the bright idea to rent a trailer and go back down the next day to pick it up. That's exactly what we did. The trailer was only $20 so it was well worth it! I'm glad we did because when we went back the other 2 cribs were sold too! We really lucked out!
Rob brought it home and took it out of the box.
We assembled it Friday night. It was super easy! We are so excited!

Yay!!! the official boy announcement:) and you look so super cute pregnant!!!
