Luke is 5 months old!

My sweet boy is 5 months old! When I say sweet I truly mean it! This baby has such a great disposition and I love him so. I wish I could bottle up this age forever!

We went to a friends house on New years Day to watch the Buckeyes win. They have twins who are 2.5. It was fun! 

I had to show you this child's hair when I don't 

"do it" haha. See how it stands up in the back? I have to spray it with water every day and brush it down. And look at the side burns!

We went over to our dear friends house for a welcome home party. Katherine's husband just got back from serving in the National Guard in Iraq and Afghanistan. This is not Katherine though, this is Coleen. I didn't get a picture of Katherine or her husband. Boo!

Weight: 15.8 lbs (30%)

Length: 26.5 inches (80%) he's loonng!

Diapers: size 3

Clothes: 6/9 months

Mom do we have to do this again? Yes dear every month haha! 

Eating: Still breastfeeding and its going great! He still eats every 2 hours during the day. I plan on starting solids in about a month. 

Sleeping: Oh sleep how I miss you! I actually feel pretty darn good considering I get maybe 5-6 hours of broken sleep a night. He's not a very good napper during the day. He will sleep in the car, ergo, or on me longer than in his crib but we are working on it. At night he usually goes down around 7:00 after a bath. I've been giving him a bottle of formula at night hoping it will make him sleep longer but I don't think its working. He is finally in his crib after sleeping with me for the last month. That only took about 2 nights of sleep training to get him into his crib...so much easier than Marshall. He wears the Merlin Sleep suit which is a great transition from the swaddle. He will sleep anywhere from 2-4 hours at night. That dang 4 month sleep regression is real! 

Personality: He is such a happy baby. I get a huge smile when I go get him in the morning. He loves to watch Marshall play and will grab at him when he gets close. Marshall thinks its hilarious! Luke has the best belly laugh when you tickle him or talk to him. He can roll over both ways and the minute you lay him on his back he rolls right over to his belly. I think it's because he wants to see what is going on and where I am. He recently started blowing raspberries and does it 80% of the time he is awake and happy. He loves to chew on any and everything he can get his hands on. He drools a lot more than Marshall ever did. He has started taking a pacifier at night which helps because if he just ate an hour ago and starts crying I will go in and put his paci in. He also likes to hold onto this bunny at night. I think it gives him comfort. 

What a blessing this sweet baby boy is. I will say that two babies is getting easier at times but is still crazy! I think Marshall getting older is actually helping. Love my boys to the moon and back!
