Summer fun!

This summer has been so great being home with my sweet baby boy. He is so busy and loves to crawl, climb, and run so we have been on the go! I have taken him somewhere outside of the house pretty much every day. I am a planner but this summer I kind of decide what we should do when we wake up.  Even though it's been rainy, it's been a really nice mild summer, especially for a pregnant person. We've gone to library story time and local parks a lot.

In these pictures we were at the library, Zen play cafe, Cosi, and a friend's house.
After stories and songs at the library they bring out toys and of course he loves the tunnel and ball!

There are several play cafes in Columbus. My favorite is Zen Kidz because I can actually sit and watch him play instead of chasing him around. Being pregnant this is a must!
He loves this little house because he can open and close the windows and doors.

He put a little coat on and looked like a sushi chef. Hehe

There's a Graeters ice cream that has an awesome indoor playground. He loves to slide and I love the ice cream!

COSI is an awesome science museum and it has a wonderful kids area for 5 and under. We've gone a couple times.

I realized early on that I needed to find parks that don't have really high play structures. There have been a couple that have about given me a heart attack and have caused contractions to come on since I have to climb up with him so he doesn't fall off.
This park is great!

I also discovered the Chick-Fil-A playground. Its perfect for toddlers! We've been three times! He actually ate their chicken nuggets and fruit! This is big since he is such a picky eater.
We've also had fun playing indoors. I found this play house thing at a consignment shop and its definitely his favorite toy right now.

I was brave one day and took him to the zoo by myself. It is a lot of walking but we had the best time! First stop- petting zoo! This is a bucket of combs for the goats and he combed his own hair of course! HaHa!
Next stop- train ride! This was a little rough being alone. We had to wait in line with no stroller. So I had to hold him and he was very antsy. I decided it would be fun to sit in the first train car. Ha was I wrong! This was also the closest to the sound of the whistle so every time it went off Marshall got so scared and cried. That happened about 5 times.

But after this we found a toddler play area and he played here forever! It was so great! I thought we might last an hour and we were at the zoo for three hours!

First parade! We went to the Fourth of July parade and he loved it!

An outdoor kids concert. It was crazy with all the kids but he enjoyed it for a bit.

There's been several other places we've gone that I didn't take pictures of. One being an indoor pool at the rec center. He loved it. We've also attempted the outdoor public pool and he liked it the first time but not the second time. Taking him to some of these places have been difficult pregnant but I'm glad our city has so much for kids. I don't know what it will be like with two kids but I know it will be harder to go places so I'm glad I've had the chance to take him places before Baby Luke gets here!
