9 months

This last month has been busy busy. Marsh's 8th month started off with me going back to work. Boo!
Here's his first day back to daycare.

This is my ninth year teaching and fourth year teaching in second grade. I was very excited to be teaching second grade again. It is way easier than starting a brand new grade and a lot less work which equals more time with my main man.
This is my third year working with Jenn and I couldn't ask for a better co-teacher. Here we are at meet the teacher night. We did not plan our outfits but both wore striped dresses. Love!

Rob brought Marsh to see me because I was at school from 8:00-8:00 :(

Here are some pictures from my iPhone over the last month...

Loves his toys!

We went to a friend's birthday party and it was outside and hot but under a shelter which was perfect! In this picture he is wanting more puffs...

One of the first times he pulled himself up!

2nd haircut...
He cried most of the time because a complete stranger cutting his hair is a little scary.

I just thought this was cute because it looks like he is thinking...hmmm

This is at my coworker, Coleen's, baby shower at work. He was going crazy with this book that she got as a gift.

Grammy came to visit and it was the first Saturday for OSU to play football! Go bucks!
My mom was reading to him...he still loves books!

My mom watched him while we went out on our first date night in Columbus. Since he was born we have been to a wedding and had a night out on vacation but this was the first actual low key date night in Columbus.
The only picture I took was of this beer. Lol! It was because it was 25 oz! The picture doesn't do it justice! We went to the mall and shopped and stopped at this arcade to get a beer and play a couple games...when we said we wanted a "tall" beer we didn't know it would be this tall! Hehe!

The next morning he was up at 5:30 AM...so good thing we came home early the night before. Come to find out he had a fever and was really sick. :(

Resting on daddy :( so pitiful!

I took him to urgent care the next day and they said it was hand foot mouth disease. He had sores in his mouth. He didn't eat or drink for 48 hours besides sips of water or formula. It was so sad to see him this sick.

After some Motrin he felt ok enough to stand up for the first time in a day and a half. (This is his exercaucer taken apart. It turns into a standing toy which is nice.)

Still sick but feeling a little better...

Back to school in this adorable outfit. My friend Jamie gave me a bunch of her son's clothes and this was one of the outfits.

Here he is standing up in his pack n play. We have this set up in our kitchen because there's just something about him crawling all over the dirty kitchen floor I don't like. Besides the fact that the cat spends a lot of time in there and I don't want him ingesting cat stuff. Yuck!

Second Buckeye game gear- picture from daycare his teacher sent me.

I bought this outfit at Janie & Jack while we were in SC hoping I could take some pictures of him in it while we were down there but it was either raining or too hot to do so, so I thought he could wear it to his Grandpa's birthday celebration.

9 month stats-
Weight: 18.5 lbs
Height: 27.5 inches
Diaper size: 4
Clothing size: 6-9 months (he's pretty textbook)
Eating: He drinks about 4-5 bottles of formula, 4-6 oz each. He likes to feed himself so we give him anything small and soft (cheese, peas, puffs, Cheerios, pears, bananas, etc.). He prefers Cheerios or puffs and sometimes will throw a fit if I tell him no more Cheerios and try to give him healthy food. Ah oh! But I don't give in to his tantrums. I just take him out of his high chair and tell him we are all done.
Sleeping: He is sleeping great at night! He goes down between 6:30-7:00. We dream feed him around 10:00 and he sleeps until between 6:00-7:00. He doesn't really nap long at daycare so he is exhausted when we get home. On the weekends he is a great napper and usually takes about 2- 1.5 hour long naps.

New things: He is full on crawling and pulling up as you can see in all the pictures. This started a couple days after he turned 8 months old. He says mamamama, dadadada, babababa. He has stranger anxiety with new people and takes awhile to warm up to you before he will let you hold him. But the good thing is he doesn't cry at daycare when I drop him off....yet. He has a strong personality and when he doesn't like something he will let you know by screaming and sometimes throwing himself backward.

This is what our living room looks like right now and I love it! Toys everywhere!
