Last week as a SAHM

First off let's address the acronym SAHM. I read lots of baby boards and they use lots of acronyms because its easier than typing words or sentences. It stands for stay at home mom. I go back to work tomorrow. This is me and has been me all week :((((((((((. I knew it was going to be hard but I didn't realize it was going to be this hard. I have to keep telling myself he will only be in daycare for 11 weeks before summer break. It's only 11 weeks of his life. It can't be that bad. It will fly by. I will keep telling myself all of these things to get through the next 11 weeks. I know he will be in good hands. It's just hard to think about someone else comforting him. I worry that he will be scared when he doesn't see familiar faces. Everyone says time flies when you have a baby. On one hand it seems like I just brought him home and on the other hand it feels like he's been here forever. I am grateful for the 11 weeks I've had at home with my little guy and for the summer break I will get to spend with him. I realize I am lucky because some moms have to return to work after 6 weeks and don't have the time off that I do.
Here's what we've been up to this last week:
My friend Jamie (who has a baby 2 weeks younger than M) told me about this kick piano toy so of course I have no impulse control I got right on Amazon and bought one. He seems to like it and it holds his attention for about 10 minutes. It will grow with him because the piano is removable.

We also ordered this Baby Einstein Ocean Soother for his crib hoping we would transition him to his crib. Lots of moms have told me they use this to get their little ones to fall asleep. Well he LOVES looking at it but we haven't transitioned him to his crib yet. I don't think I'm ready. He did sleep 8 hours one night this week! Woohoo!

We joined Costco! Fun times at the Stan household. LOL
Here he is happy as a clam driving to Costco.
Sorry it's blurry the car was moving. But look at those smiles!
Yes I was sitting in the back with him. We haven't put the mirror up in Rob's car so when we take his I sit in the back. Speaking of where is that darn mirror?

Rob gave me a gift certificate for a massage for Valentines Day. When I got home this is what I walked in to see. So PRECIOUS!

It was a little loud on Tuesday because we got carpet installed. This has been on our to do list since we moved in almost 2 years ago. Our entire house has laminate floors besides the carpet on the stairs. It was pretty gross looking.

After

We got the best carpet pad and it feels so nice under our feet!

All the loud noise must have worn him out because the next day he took a long afternoon nap which he hasn't done in what feels like weeks! He's definitely a cat napped. I didn't know what to do with myself. So I went through my makeup bag and cleaned out underneath my bathroom sink. Fun times during nap time! In all seriousness I had loads of bottles and junk I threw out that I never use! You should do it! It feels great!

Lastly, baby M and I have spent as much quality time together as possible this last week. Love this sweet boy more than words can describe!
Rob always asks me to send him a picture while he's at work. This is one that I took.
Lol! We had just woken up and he looks like the mad scientist!

Wish me luck tomorrow as I make my way back into the work force!
