This week we had lots of visitors and celebrated Christmas!
Let's start this post off with the sweetest picture of my sweet baby boy.
A sneak peek from our newborn pictures. Look at that hair!
Amanda, a co worker, and her three kids (Jillian, Jada, and Jace) came over and brought me my favorite drink, an iced Capp from Tim Hortons, Panera bagels, and homemade banana bread. I hope I can get that much done if I have three kiddos. Jada is in my class and was so excited to hold Marshall.
Mary Anne was over the moon with baby Marshall. She brought me Starbucks, gingerbread, and a Bob Evans gift card that we can't wait to use!
Snuggling on the couch- I look tired (because I am) I'm posting real pictures of what I look like these days because it can be rough.
On the 23rd we decided it would be fun to take Marshall for his first car ride to look at Christmas lights. We also wanted to see if this would make him less fussy. It was so much fun! He seemed to like it and cried only when Rob stopped.
Rob's parents got to our house on the 24th and stayed until the 27th.
Proud Nana
Merry Christmas!
Another sneak peek of newborn pictures
Our Christmas tradition is we eat breakfast and then sit in the living room around the tree and open presents. First, we pass out everyone's gifts and then take turns opening each gift. It usually takes an hour or two depending on how many gifts there are. We have Christmas music on in the background and take our time. This year we had one more person to open gifts, Marshall.
We got a later start than normal since it takes awhile to feed Marshall. Of course he started crying right before we were going to open so he laid on my chest the entire time.
Rob cutting the turkey and me trying to get a good picture of Marshall in his First Christmas onesie! Lol Really, I just like playing around with the Pixlr app and making collages hehe. Hey I've got a lot of time on my hands these days while I'm nursing.
On Friday we went the the pediatrician to check Marshall's weight. He weighed 7 lbs 14 oz so he had gained 5 oz in 8 days which is perfect! This was my first solo trip with Marshall and it went very smoothly.
Kala and Kasi drove 3 hours to visit! They brought me chipotle for lunch, gifts for the baby, and gifts to pamper myself. It was so great seeing them. I've been friends with Kala since 7th grade and her sister, Kasi is like one of my sisters. Love them!
Saturday was the first day with no visitors and I'm not going to lie it was really nice. I rested a lot which I needed because I feel like a new person with a little bit more sleep. This week was great but rough. There were lots of tears from Marshall and me but we made it through! He's still fussy from 6-12 but we have found the less stimulation during the day the less fussy he is at night. He has not gone to sleep before midnight yet. Everyone says each week gets easier. Saturday night Marshall slept for 5 hours so it's already getting better. He's only 17 days old for Pete sake!
I'll leave you with a picture of my sweet baby boy. We are so blessed!
