Wow! What an amazing week! Marshall is 10 days old and we are so in love! The first couple of days were difficult getting used to him being home and learning how to nurse. It was painful but now we have the hang of it and are doing great! He was up frequently the first couple nights but the last 6 nights he has slept in 3 or 4 hour chunks which feels nice for me to sleep. However before he goes down for the night he has been doing something called clustering where he literally eats on and off from about 6:00- 11:00. He is really fussy during this time. At first we thought something was wrong but after reading about it, it's totally normal for newborns to do this. Hopefully it won't last forever.
Here's our last 7 days in pictures:
I love snuggling!
He loves his rock n play.
Daddy is over the moon
Rob said he looks like a lost boy from Peter Pan in this outfit.
All of his clothes are huge. I put this on him while I was washing onesies. This is one of his many faces.
Jenn, my co-teacher brought us dinner Wednesday and Friday.
Coleen, another co teacher brought us dessert.
Brittany brought us Chipotle.
Grammy came to visit.
Papaw Tom came to visit.
Granny Lois came too! She was the baby whisperer. During his fussy time she calmed him down several times.
My students made me cards. Here are a few of my favorites.
Here's a sneak peek of the nursery. We still need to hang his letters for his name. I will post completed pics soon!
I am enamored by this baby. I've known since I was young that I wanted to be a Mom, but now I have been reassured that is truly what I was meant to be. It has made Rob and I closer too as we work together to bathe him or calm him down or just stare at him in awe. Life couldn't get any better!
