36 weeks!

Week 34

I've resorted to wearing Robs t-shirts to sleep in and lounge around in. So comfy! I look so tired and miserable here. I promise I'm not. Well tired yes!
This week was pretty uneventful but very busy at work. I had parent teacher conferences and report cards to do so I worked late every night. I had insomnia off and on so I was exhausted. When I take Benadryl I sleep so much better but I don't like to take it every night. I had my 34 week checkup and the doctor said everything looked good. The baby's heartbeat was in the 140's. She said the next time I come we will do an ultrasound and start checking my cervix! So exciting! That day will be on Rob's birthday which is such a great birthday present don't ya think? On Tuesday I had dinner with one of my dear friends, Mary Anne, at the Cheesecake Factory. It was fun but the food was so rich, my stomach hurt that night and into the next day. On Friday, Rob woke up with a fever and was sick until Sunday. I have never seen him this sick. Poor baby! On Saturday I met Brittany for a pedicure! It felt so great! My feet are pretty much staying swollen but they don't hurt.

Week 35
I started off my 35th week by taking inventory of all the wonderful gifts we received from our showers. They were all in bags in the nursery. I was getting overwhelmed thinking about going through it all and thinking about what else we needed before baby gets here. But once I started going through it all I just felt so blessed that our friends and family gave us so much. We are so lucky and I don't know what we would have done without them. We are so lucky to have gotten all the big items- glider, 2 strollers, 2 car seats, pack and play, video monitor, rock n play, bathtub, dresser, and crib along with almost every small item you could think of for a baby. The only thing we had to buy was the changing table. Rob just informed me that his work is throwing him a shower on his birthday, Nov. 20th, so that is going to be a special day with the ultrasound too! We are truly blessed!
On Monday night it snowed! This is what we woke up to Tuesday morning.
It was so pretty and so early in the season to snow!

It wasn't much, maybe an inch, but it was pretty and made it feel closer to Christmas. I would prefer it to snow every day up until Christmas and then not again until the next year.

I made a pretty delicious pot roast Saturday. It was super easy. I took a beef pot roast, 1 big bag of carrots, 5 cut up potatoes, 1 onion, a Lipton onion soup packet, and 1 cup of water and threw it all in the crock pot for 6 hours on low.
I love how easy this was and we will eat it for probably 2 more nights!

36 weeks

This is a horrible picture but it has Christmas border because I am getting so excited for Christmas!
Pregnancy stats:
Weight gained: 33 lbs.
Craving: sweet and salty things mixed together- Ritz has chocolate covered crackers out so of course I bought some, Soup, cookie dough, sugar cookies, Chinese food (I finally got my fix and it was delicious), Cheryl's cookies, egg rolls, halloween candy, Sprite, Starbucks half caff pumpkin spice lattes!
Baby is: punching, kicking, moving, and still gets the hiccups daily. He is developed enough that if he was born now he would be completely fine but I'm not quite ready yet so he can keep on cooking.

Positives-  I am feeling pretty good physically and emotionally with minor mood swings. I'm still enjoying work and am really enjoying teaching this year. Feeling very blessed to be pregnant and have everything we need for the baby. Some women are not so lucky which is so sad to think about.

Negatives- INSOMNIA! I'm feeling more and more squished when I sit in certain positions. His feet feel like they are in my rib cage. It's really hard to sit up from a laying position without aches and pains. Gong to the bathroom 4-5 times per night. Sometimes I wake up starving in the middle of the night. It's getting cold and I don't want to buy a maternity coat to only wear for 4 weeks so I've been wearing Rob's which just looks plain ridiculous.
I miss: working out, sitting up with ab strength, bending over comfortably, wine, beer, normal clothes, sleeping, and not peeing every 30 minutes

I don't want to end this post on a negative note. I truly feel blessed to be pregnant and experiencing a miracle growing inside of me. I'm just documenting every little thing going on with my body so I can look back and remember and also compare it to future pregnancies.
