On April 7 I took a pregnancy test and it was positive! I ran upstairs and put it in front of Rob while he was playing a video game. I had a feeling for a couple days that I was pregnant but Rob didn't believe me. He was shocked! This was a Sunday night and we had already rented a movie so a couple minutes later we popped the movie in. Obviously neither one of us were paying attention. We were both in shock! We looked at each other and said, "we should be doing something to celebrate." So we went to the local frozen yogurt place and got frozen yogurt. The next day I called my dr. And made an appointment that week to get a blood test confirmation. I also called my Obgyn. They said they don't see patients until they are 8-10 weeks. I thought that was so long to wait. The next 4 weeks were probably the longest of our lives! Rob went with me to my appointment and we loved our dr. She did an ultra sound and printed lots of pictures! We were so relieved to hear that everything looked normal. Here are some pictures of the last 7 weeks. We feel so blessed and so excited to be welcoming baby Stan in December 2013!
6 weeks
8 week apt.
8 weeks
11 weeks
I think it's funny the difference black and white make. Black is so slimming!
I got a new picture app and have had fun playing with it!
This is the size of the baby now during week 11.
I will probably post updates every 2 weeks or so. Only 7 more school days left and this woman is out for the summer!
Update on how I am feeling:
Weight gained: 3 lbs.
The last 7 weeks I have experienced the good and bad of pregnancy. I have had morning sickness, night sickness, and terrible headaches. This started around week 6. If my stomach is empty I'm nauseous and if I eat too much I am soooo sick and miserable so I have been trying to eat small frequent meals. I have been craving mostly starchy, cheesy foods. Also I've had my fair share of sweet cravings! I've bought more candy bars in the last 5 weeks than in the last 5 years. I've also been craving salads and soup a lot too! Cheese and crackers are probably the constant snack that continues to be delicious and my favorite thing to eat! My favorite drink is sparkling flavored water from Walgreens. I've had one almost every morning. It has vitamins in it and I swear it helps with nausea just a little bit. I have been super moody, emotional, and tired also! Pretty typical pregnancy symptoms! Rob has been a trooper and has helped take care of me as much as he can. This includes going to buy buy baby, all by himself, during his lunch break, without being asked to buy preggie pops which help with nausea. I love my hubby!
