This has little to do with the wedding, but many people have been curious about our new house that we just purchased. Rob and I started the "looking" process back in February. At the time, our lease was going to be up at the end of May so we knew we wanted to buy a house by then. Our realtor was wonderful and showed us many houses that we liked but didn't necessarily love until # 10 came along. At the beginning of March we went to see a house that was about a mile from where our apartment complex was. We walked in and I think we both knew it was the one. It has brand new light hardwood floors which neither one of us would have picked, but now that we are in the hosue we love them. The master bedroom is on the first floor which I wasn't crazy about, but now that we are in I love it being on the first floor. It was built in 2003 so it is not too worn out. It has a cute front porch, 2 car garage, and unfinished basement!
We are excited because it is super close to both of our jobs and close to many fun things to do! We have been working like dogs for the last three weeks or so moving everything over on our own (and of course the help of Rob's wonderful parents and two of Rob's friends, Zach and Jim). The first weekend that we got the keys we painted all weekend (kitchen, bedroom, and upstairs living room). It was suprisingly fun! The next weekend Rob, his friends, and his parents moved all the big pieces while I was off at my bachelorette party in Nashville during a heat wave (90+ degree weather). I owe his friends and parents big time. This weekend Rob painted out master bathroom. It looks amazing.
There is still a lot to get done but I know some people are anxious to see pictures of it so here ya go:
