Luke was baptized on November 1, 2015 at St. Matthew's Church. What a great way to start off the month of November. Here are some pictures of the blessed day!
Deacon Joe performed the service.
Baptisms are held after the noon mass. Luke was wide awake during the mass, but fell asleep in my arms right before the baptism started. He woke up in this picture when the Deacon rubbed oil on his chest.
Wide eyed staring at his Godmother Brittany.
Luke's Godfather is Jason, one of Rob's childhood friends.
The Deacon lights a candle and the Godparents receive it and give it to the parents. We light it on their birthdays!
There was one other baby being baptized on this day. Here the Deacon is giving a blessing.

Everyone came back to our house afterwards for sandwiches and cake.

Marshall stayed home during the baptism with my mom because it was during his nap time. He was very upset to be woken up to all the people coming in the house. It took about 30 minutes to calm him down. You do not want to wake this child up early. So we let him play on the Ipad.
Jason and Jim. Thank goodness Jim was there because he took pictures for us of the actual baptism. I forgot my camera. So sad :(

The most delicious cake ever, fresh strawberry cake. Yum!
And after everyone left we celebrated Rob's birthday early with his parents and had more cake!
We are so blessed to be parents to this beautiful child of God!
But now that faith has
come, we are no longer under a disciplinarian. For through faith you are
all children of God in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized
into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
