39 weeks!

Week 38
Baby Bump

To use up all this ham from Thanksgiving I made a quiche. It was seriously one of the most delicious, easiest recipes I've ever made.

First I put a pie crust on the bottom of the pan.  Next, I beat 5 eggs together with about 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, a handful of spinach, and some cut up ham. I eyeballed everything besides the eggs. I baked it at 375 for 40 minutes. Voila! Lunch for me for 4 days this week!

Monday was my 38 week check up. Everything was normal and I was still only a finger tip dilated. But my Dr said my cervix had moved down so I guess that is good news.

On Tuesday my feet swelled up a lot at work and went down Tuesday night.

I have no ankles! The same thing happened Wednesday at work. It started to freak me out so I called the Dr just for reassurance. She said that all my preeclampsia tests came back normal but to come in to get my blood pressure checked just to be safe. I went in and it was completely normal so that made me feel better. She also checked the heart beat and it was going strong in the 130s. Definitely helped ease my anxiety to give me peace of mind. She said to get compression stockings which I've been trying to avoid all pregnancy. I went out and bought some and Thursday my feet were a lot less swollen. It also helped that my coteacher made me sit down a lot. She's the best!

On Friday we had our first snow day of the school year! I was so relieved because I thought about staying home to rest anyways but I didn't have to! It is getting really hard to work, but every day that I stay home is one less day at home with the baby. My co teacher said she would give me one of her sick days which is so sweet.

On my snow day I finally finished decorating the tree, wrapped presents (I have bought all of my presents online this year) and took a nap! It was so nice!

We have 4 stockings and one baby stocking.
The Nutcrackers are from Rob's childhood. His mom would buy him a new one each year. I bought the gold one last year.

On Saturday Rob's dad came up to celebrate his birthday. Yes his birthday was November 20th but our schedules never worked out since his dad goes back and forth between SC and Dayton. He makes a cake every year for each persons birthday in the fam. Yummy!

Here he is lighting the candles, blowing out his candles, and opening presents. I know I'm such a dork but I love taking pictures and playing with my picture app. His Dad got him two really awesome tools that Rob wanted!

We went out to lunch and then dinner later. We also made a trip to Home Goods together to find curtain rods for the nursery. We actually found a really great pair that have rope knots at the end so they look nautical. Love me some Home Goods!

The last OSU game was on at 8:00 and I was not into watching it but Rob's friends were getting together so I told him to go watch it. They lost their first game against Michigan State so that was no good but at least they will have one last game for the bowl game.

I actually made a list of things for my hospital bag. Yippee! Now it's just actually putting it all together that I need to do.

Pregnancy stats:
 Baby bump
Weight gained- 37 lbs.
Eating- pretzels, chocolate, Raisin Bran, quiche
Feeling- swollen, huge, tired
What's happening- insomnia; burning sensation in my right rib and back if I sit a certain way; laying on my side is the most comfortable position, but my hips start to hurt so I have to switch sides about every hour; up every hour at night to use the bathroom; contractions, cramping, and lots of pressure down there off and on
