What a difference 10 weeks make!
Happy Fall!
Pregnancy stats:
Weight gained- 22lbs.
Craving- jalapeño corn bread, oatmeal, blueberry pancakes, pumpkin muffins, Cheetos
Feeling- Last Saturday I had a horrible earache and then had a stuffy nose that lasted all week. I'm not sure if it was a cold or allergies. Also I ran out of my acid reflux medicine and suffered for several days. That's stuff really works! It probably didn't help that I was eating jalapeño corn bread. Lol!
Baby- Started breathing through his nose and taking his first breaths. His eyes have opened and is as big as an eggplant, 2lbs and 15 inches! He has been getting hiccups frequently! It's different than kicks because it's small frequent movements that last a couple of minutes.
I made white chicken chili again this week and cheesy jalapeño corn bread sounded so good to go with it! I took a box of jiffy corn bread mix, chopped up a fresh jalapeño, and mixed in about a half of a cup of shredded cheese and popped it in the oven according to the box directions. It was delicious!
Last weekend Rob's parents came up so his dad could help him put up wainscoting in the nursery. It looks amazing so far and is about half way done.
Before
After
It still looks like this because it took all day to put the wood up and we still have to paint it. It will be painted white from the chair railing down and we are going to paint the walls Biltmore Buff which is a shade of yellow. Rob is afraid it looks too feminine with the white crib and light walls/ floors. While the guys were working on the room, his mom and I went shopping for nursery furntiure. We found a rug at homegoods (picture later) and we thought we found a rocker but after I went back the next day I didn't like how it rocked. Here is the fabric we were going to cover it in.
If you didn't know we are going for a nautical theme. We might still use it because while Marla was out shopping in Dayton this week, she found a perfect glider and ottoman that were floor models from Ballard's. It is white but was a steal! So we could still potentially have a slip cover made but we will see.
We also celebrated Bob's birthday. It's a tradition for Bob to make a cake for the birthday person. Since it was his I made chocolate on chocolate!
I met two of my best friends, Lauren and Rachel, in Cincinnati to spend time with them before Lauren's wedding (which is in 2 weeks) and so Lauren could give me a new bridesmaid dress. I took my bridesmaid dress to get altered last week and they wanted $265 to alter it. It is a size 4 because I got fitted for it before I knew I was pregnant. Well now that I am 7 months along there is obviously no way that is fitting. I had a freak out moment but the dress shop in Ky had a size 12 in a darker shade of blue and Lauren said that would be fine so I bought it. I still have to get the new dress hemmed but it won't be $265! It was so nice to catch up with my BFFs! I really miss them! We shared a piece of S'mores cheesecake at Cheesecake Factory! Ridiculous!
It went from 96 degrees 2 weeks ago to 50 degrees! Happy Fall y'all!
