So we moved into our house about a year ago. Coming from a tiny apartment we didn't have enough furniture to fill the house. Over the last year we have slowly bought pieces here and there and I am finally ready to show you my living room/ dining room. My MIL and I found 2 antique chairs and a Drexel bookshelf while we were shopping at the Mercantile in Columbus back in November. Those were the first pieces for the living room. My in laws gave us the dining room table and I ordered chairs with paisley blue slip covers from pottery barn. Well then I decided I wanted a yellow couch so I ordered one from pottery barn thinking it would match the chairs but it didn't really. I think I was in a rush to finish the room. Looking back I wish I would have waited to buy everything together when my mother in law and I went on a big furniture shopping trip in March on my spring break. But you live and you learn. We went to a million sq foot warehouse in High Point, NC called Furntiure land South. This place is amazing! It has tons of really nice furniture that is majorly discounted! My top priority was getting a china cabinet to house all the wonderful china we got as wedding gifts. We registered for Kate Spade China from Macys FYI. While we were there we also got a coffee table and three end tables. Last week my MIL came over so we could finish the room with accessories. We found a rug and pillow at home goods that I didn't think would go in our living room but after bringing them home they look really good! She brought some other accessories and some greenery too! If you don't already know my MIL is an interior designer.

Before
We decided to move that rug in the bedroom.

Coffee table at the warehouse
After
The only thing we want to do is change the light fixture above the dining room table.
The other thing I have been doing is cooking! Here are some delish recipes!
I used bacon bits instead of real bacon. It was so delicious!
Rob has been trying to stick to the Paleo diet. Since this week is the most stressful time of his life with him taking his last CPA exam on Monday I thought I would find some Paleo recipes and cook for him. He loved the first one- meaty rage sauce over spaghetti squash. I ate it too, it was delicious and made us feel so full! Here's the recipe:
I also made kale chips. I thought they were good but Rob thought they were too salty.
Hope your week is going great!
