Gender Old Wives Tales

Well as you can see I have changed the look of the blog a bit. Stay tuned, I may change it again tomorrow or next week. Who knows with all this free time this summer! Which I am loving by the way! 3 days into summer with no responsiblities (well except growing a baby of course) and life is good!
I thought it would be fun to do a post on what the Old Wives Tales say about whether the baby is a boy or a girl. Here are the results:


Sleep Position Girl

Pay attention to which way you lay down in bed tonight. If you prefer sleeping on your left side, you'll have a boy. Right side? Your pregnant with a girl.

Upset Stomach Girl

Little girls aren't always sweet. Extreme nausea means you are having a daughter.

Soft or dry hands Boy

If your hands are dry during pregnancy, you are having a boy; soft -- expect a girl.

Adult Acne Boy

If altering hormones makes your skin break out, expect a girl

Graceful or Clumsy Pregnancy Boy

If you feel as though you're gliding through the day, you'll have a girl. Stumbling? It's a boy.

Face Weight Gain Boy

If your face gets fuller, it means you're having a girl.

Sugar and Spice Food Cravings Boy

Craving salt during pregnancy? Potato chips, pretzels, and popcorn means a boy is on the way. Need a little something sweet? Ice cream, chocolate, and candy means you're having a girl.

Mood Changes Girl

If you're experiencing pregnant mood-swings, expect a baby girl to arrive soon.

Even and Odd Numbers Boy

If your age and year of conception are both even or odd, it's girl. One even, one odd means a boy.

Baby's Heartbeat Girl

If the baby's heart beats more than 150 times per minute, you're pregnant with a girl. Less than 150, it's a boy.

Hair Boy

Has your hair become thinner and dull? Or full-bodied and glossy? Thin and dull says girl, gorgeous and glossy says a boy.

Chinese Gender Chart Girl

When I went to see my Dr. on Monday she said what does the Chinese gender chart say? I told her girl. She said don’t quote me on this but most of time the chart is right.

Now granted these could change throughout the pregnancy so who knows? I have a feeling it's a girl and of course Rob wants a boy. I will be overjoyed either way.

We went to our second Dr. apt on Monday. I thought for some reason she would do another ultrasound, but no. It just makes you feel better to see the baby you know? They took a urine test and we heard the heartbeat. It was in the 160's. The Dr. said the heartbeat has nothing to do with the gender, but once again ya never know?
