Two Bachelorette Parties- I'm a lucky Girl!

Party # 1:

I feel so blessed and lucky to have so many wonderful best friends! I had the brilliant idea to have a "Last Fling before the Ring" party in Nashville. I knew it would be fun and I absolutely love country music. I was thank-ful that most of my bridesmaids could make it down. I know it took a lot of time and effort for my Maid of Honor, Emily, to put it together and for all the girls (Melissa, Lauren, Mandy, and Rachel) to get down there. It was an absolutely blast! I decided to fly down since it would have been a six hour drive from Ohio. We decided Memorial Day weekend would be perfect. All the girls arrived in Nashville Friday afternoon and I arrived early Friday evening. Once I got to the hotel room and freshened up we were ready to eat. We asked the bell hop boy, who was probably not a day over 20, where a good place to eat would be. He told us to go to a place that was within walking distance and was a big hit with guests staying at the hotel. Needless to say we did not agree. Their speciality was spaghetti, which did not sound good to any of us, being as hot as it was outside. No one was impressed with the food but it was a fun experience.

Then we headed out on the town. This bar had t-shirts hanging up on the ceiling. The one on the left says the "Best Damn Ohio Bar in Tennessee" and the one on the right says Kentucky. We thought that was so funny since I am a KY girl and Rob is from OH.

We went to many bars Friday night and ended it at a Karaoke bar where I sang "Baby Got Back".
 So hilarious!

On Saturday, Emily had a limo ride planned for us. The limo driver took us around the city to see different celebrities' houses. The air conditioned limo was perfect because it was so hot outside. She also had t-shirts made for all of us to wear.

The limo driver took us to a place where you could view the city. We had to walk up a steep set of stairs to get there...

Before going out Saturday I opened gifts from the girls. They sure know how to make a girl special.

Saturday night...I like how the three of us on the right have sunglasses and the three on the left don't :)

The limo driver told us to eat at a place called The Palm. It was delicious!

We had so much fun laughing and spending time with each other. I could not have asked for a better weekend with my best friends!

Party # 2:

Since moving to Columbus about four years ago, I have made many great friends. The girls from Columbus couldn't make it down to Nashville so they threw me a shindig in the big city of Cbus. It was so much fun! Rycki, who I met while teaching, hosted the party at her house. Jess and Brittany helped plan it and all the girls chipped in to bring drinks and yummy appetizers. I feel so lucky to have so many wonderful girlfriends in Columbus.

Most of the girls...
Brittany, Carrie (newly engaged woo-hoo!), Molly, Me, Courtney, Mary Anne, Jamie, Deana

Food time!

Gift Time...

Courtney found this cute "wine dress" to dress up the bottle of wine.
I have on an apron because anyone who knows me, knows a white dress and food are probably not a good idea.

Courtney also found this enormous wine glass.

Loved this wrapping paper.

OOOH!

 The beautiful Rycki and Jess.

Before we headed downtown they made me drink out of the massive wine glass.

All of us, sorry its so blurry but its the best that I can do. :)

After writing this post, I realize how incredibly lucky I am to have such wonderful friends in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. I want to give a big thank-you to all of you for making my pre-wedding celebrations so special. I will never forget how special you all made me feel! MUUUWWAAHH!

Now the countdown is really on... 6 days!
Hope you all are ready for a fun time!

  1. Yep, you’re definitely a lucky girl for having great friends and spending two parties with them. Each group definitely gave you their own style of having fun -- from the limo-cruising in Nashville to the Columbus house party. Anyway, I wish you all the best in your married life!

    Cheers,
