Save the Date!!

We have decided on a date and place! A couple Saturdays ago both sides of our families came up to Columbus to check out our favorite place, The Athletic Club of Columbus. At this point Rob had not  seen it yet. He thought if I liked it he would too. So after the parentals and Rob toured it, we decided it was the place to get married. There were many reasons for this decision. Here they are:

• It is indoors instead of out in the blazing heat/ rain.
• It has many rooms to use.
• There is a bowling alley the kids can use!
• They have their own catering.
• The rental fee includes linens, china, tables, and chairs (you would think this would be a given, but many venues did not include this with the room fee).
• They have two baby grand pianos we can use free of charge.
• There is a stage for a band or Deejay (havent decided this one yet.)
• There are many hotels around so it will be great for out of town guests.
• If the ceremony takes place there, the bride gets a free suite the night before. Yippe for me! :)
• Because it is the club's 100 year anniversary in 2012 they are givng each wedding a complimentary champagne toast, so get yout glasses ready!
• Rob and I's favorte part is if we paid the rental fee the same day as the deposit we got a membership to the club for a year. The year membership includes indoor pool use, a full athletic club with free classes, three restaraunts, and many social events. Oh yeah and that bowling alley! Rob makes fun of me because I am more excited about bowling than anything. hehe!
• And last but not least- It is beautiful and will make for great pictures!

We are so excited and can NOT wait to celebrate our big day with friends and family!

JULY 21, 2012

I love this date because it is an even year. I really wanted to get married in an even instead of odd year, I know I am odd myself. :) I love that the 21 and 12 are both in the date. Also because I am a teacher and school ends around June 10, I get about 5 weeks before the wedding with no work (well no teacher work anyway, but plenty of wedding work I am sure). How awesome is that? Also, there will be about a month after the wedding before school starts up again. Which gives us time to go on a honeymoon, come back, and get everything organized. Even more wonderful!
